- Description: I'd been photographing Clark's Nutcrackers at Rainbow Curve on Trail Ridge Road in Rocky Mountain National Park for a while, taking advantage of their interest in getting fed by tourists. Right when I had this one nicely framed, he decided to abruptly leave the rock he'd been sitting on. A lesson learned -- be prepared that the bird you're photographing may take flight at any moment, and leave enough room in your picture to not cut off the wings if he does!
