In my lightboxes:
- Title: Abstract Window Frost
- State/Province/Region: Nebraska
- Country: United States
- Nearest Town: Lincoln
- Best Season: Winter
- Description: These organic patterns grow in the frost on our 120-year-old windows whenever the outdoor temps drop down around +5F. This scene is about 2" wide. It is back-lit by the busy intersection and commercial district outside our home at midnight.
This pattern is very unusual in the frost at our house. This image comes from a small portion of the lower right corner of the blue, viney image I also uploaded. They are lit dramatically differently beause this image was taken at midnight while the other image was taken just before sunrise.
I love shooting patterns back-lit by traffic lights because the lighting changes so frequently. You can shoot the same scene for five minutes straight and get a different image every time.
