- Description: Early one morning in late September, the snow started falling in Yellowstone National Park. After spending most of the day looking for wildlife in the snow, I decided to head over to the Artists Paintpot area. For 2 hours I spent walking around, there was not another human being in the area, it was so peaceful. The late day partly cloudy sky created some wonderful light while the thermal pools kept the ground warm.
