Brief Directions: At an undisclosed location in Arizona.
Best Season: Spring
Description: In Arizona during the spring the water from the snow melt at the higher elevations causes some terrific flow in the streams below. I went out on a rainy day to capture this image. I was not prepared for the damp weather and at the time my tripod was in the repair shop. I desperately wanted this shot though so I resolved to find a way to do so. In the end capturing this image meant climbing the crevices of the canyon wall to get ten feet above my subject. I slipped and fell a number of times and had a close call or two with my camera. I had to balance my camera on my monopod and brace against the canyon wall in order to stabilize the camera enough for the 2.5 second exposure. In the end all the challenges were worth it and I got the shot I was wanting.
