Description: Due to a very dry winter in California the best 2 years a number of the salt flats in the San Francisco Bay Area had dried up. A small little pool of water was all that had remained and the dry, brown parts, were able to support the weight of a human. On this particular evening the clouds looked promising and I made my way over to this lakebed. As the summer monsoon approached the sky lit up with beautiful colors. I loved the way the cracked earth contrasted with the incoming storm. It's a clash of dry meats wet ... who will win?!
