  • Description: Antelope Canyon can be argued as one of the most breathtaking and tranquil places to visit. Gently carved from the Navajo sandstone over the course of millions of years, the slot canyons are truly magnificent. Twisting narrow slots with just enough space for a small group to walk the sandy floor - and an occasional brilliant shaft of sunlight from above. Two elements play a role in sculpting this amazing canyon. It is dry most of the year, but at times Antelope Canyon can be flooded, with water after rains. It is the water, wearing away the sandstone grain by grain, forming these beautiful and graceful curves in the rock. Wind has also help to create this amazing canyon for us to enjoy.
