Photo Details

  • Title: Mojave Desert In Joshua Tree National Park
  • State/Province/Region: California
  • Country: United States
  • Nearest Area: Joshua Tree National Park
  • Description: To me, Joshua Tree National Park, spanning both Mojave and Sonoran Deserts, proves that deserts are all but boring. The unique rock formations alone would please any hikers eye, let alone the eye of a keen photographer. And here enogh vegetation grows to further make the experience very enjoyable. No Joshua Trees in this photo but still enough greenery to contrast the dry conditions. In early morning or late afternoon the whole park glows in gold from the warm light reflecting off of the sand and rocks.
  • Best Season: Spring
  • Gear: Nikon D200
