Assignment #48: Near-Far Composition

I've often spoken with the great landscape artist David Muench about the near-far composition that he's so famous for. It's not just a compositional gimmick. Muench talks about the deep connections between the prominent foreground object and the distant landscapes in his near-far images, For this week's Assignment, submit your near-far images. I'll be looking for photographs that show a special connection between the near and the far element, and I'm planning on running the best of the week in the March issue of OP.
