Assignments #8-9: Snow I & II

Winter weather and piles of snow continue to hit most of North America hard (except in Vancouver where the Winter Olympics are off to a challenging start) so I thought instead of a new topic for this week, let's continue with the snow theme. For everyone who hasn't had a chance to get out and enjoy the snow yet, you have a second chance.
