- Description: Early October is just about as wonderful a time as it gets to visit the Eastern Sierra. The aspens along the hill slopes, creeks and canyons of the Eastern Sierra put on a spectacular color display each fall, turning into a variety of shades of yellow, orange and crimson. During a full week's photo trip, I was able to soak in this annual color festival and to capture the aspens in their full glory.
