Photo Details

  • Title: Motion In Flight
  • State/Province/Region: Washington
  • Country: United States
  • Nearest Area: Brownsville
  • Nearest Town: Bremerton
  • Description: Two seagulls taking off from a breakwater
  • Brief Directions: This was shot without a tripod or any special equipment. I was walking down the dock with my camera in hand when these two seagulls took off. This was shot hand held with a shutter speed of 1/2 second, aperture f5 , 180 MM. ISO 100 The key to this photo was the slow shutter speed and the camera movement during the 1/2 second shutter speed
  • Notes: one of the most important pieces of equipment is one that is all to often forgotten: and that is the person behind the camera. We can all go out and buy new stuff but don't forget the person pushing the shutter release button is ultimately the one who is in charge and sometimes we just need a little luck to. The other thing is thinking outside the box.
  • Best Season: Winter
  • Gear: Canon 7d with a 18-135 lens
  • Notes: One of the most important pieces of equipment is one that is all to often forgotten: and that is the person behind the camera. We can all go out and buy new stuff but don't forget the person pushing the shutter release button is ultimately the one who is in charge and sometimes we just need a little luck to. The other thing is thinking outside the box.
