Photo Details

  • Title: A Shawl Hangs From The Chifley Cave At Jenolan Caves, Nsw
  • State/Province/Region:
  • Country: Australia
  • Nearest Area: New South Wales
  • Nearest Town: Jenolan Caves
  • Brief Directions: Jenolan Caves is about 150 kilometers west of Sydney, NSW
  • Notes: Getting shots in the caves requires a fast zoom lens. The most attractive formations are illuminated. However, in order to protect the fragile environment, tourists are restricted to specific walkways. Therefore, you can be at varying distances from the most interesting formations. My Nikon 80-200mm lens was ideal for zooming in and out, but what was best about it, was the constant f2.8 which allowed me to make the most of the available light.
  • GPS Longitude: 151
  • GPS Latitude: 34
  • Best Season: Autumn
  • Gear: Nikon D300 with Nikon f2.8 80-200mm lens
