Pelican Debuts 1780 Transport Case
TORRANCE, CA – February 5, 2007 — Built for one-person mass transit, the Pelican Products, Inc. 1780 Transport Case features nearly 14,000 cubic inches of usable storage space with two double-wide handles and dual sets of rugged polyurethane wheels with stainless steel ball bearings and nylon hubs for extended towing durability.
The 1780 also sports an integrated automatic pressure equalization valve that keeps moisture out and prevents vacuum lock so the case is easier to open at any altitude.
Like all Pelican Protector Cases, the 1780’s open cell-core wall, polymer construction protects sensitive equipment from some of the harshest conditions on Earth. Additional standard features include a lid equipped with a polymer o-ring for a dust and waterproof seal and dual action latches that have been tested to withstand nearly 400 pounds (but to open with a light pull). Genuine Pelican Protector Cases are fully stackable for optimal space efficiency and can always be spotted by their distinctive, trademarked “Dual Band” design.
Additional 1780 Case models include a military 12-gun version with a rotationally molded insert and a 10-gun version with high-grade custom foam. Both cases include a rapid entry, lockable metal cross-bar that is cushioned to protect and secure M4s and M16s. Also, the cases feature manual pressure equalization valves and humidity gauges for moisture protection.
The 1780 Case with foam has an MSRP of $599.95 and is backed by the Pelican Products legendary lifetime guarantee of excellence: “You break it, we replace it…forever.”
