While hiking a trail in the woods, I spotted this single leaf that had wedged itself in the bark of a tree - one of the last leaves to fall and add its color to an already vibrant scene.
Sometimes nature's colors explode where and when you least expect to see them. This tree is along a trail deep in the Adirondack forest and its rich fall colors turned from green to yellow to red as its branches and leaves reached outward.
During rainy season this branch was wedged between rocks. The sulphur in this volcanic area gives the water a beautiful turquoise color. Everything came together on this day to let me get up close to the flow of water over this fallen branch
This photo was taken looking down from the St. Augustine Lighthouse. I saw this mix of beautiful greens and bleached trees. So I used my telephoto to bring to image closer. This helped to give wonderful texture to the shot.
