This photo was taken during a snow storm along the section of the Zumbro River which is closest to Silver Lake. Most geese can be found huddled together in the river during a winter storm, but this goose was temporarily alone.
This shot is of a Blue Roan Stallion taken at dawn just as he was let out into the paddock. He stopped and just scanned the countryside, smelling the morning air.
