Took me quite some running back and forth of throwing sand and taking the pic before the sand ran out. But in the end I am happy with the result.

I captured this golden sunset at White Sands National Monument in Alamogordo New Mexico in February. The sunsets are spectacular in winter and the temperatures are mild.
Two small plants caught my eye and complemented the red clay of the Badlands behind them. The rising sun gave everything a nice warm glow with strong hints of red.

Nearly 15 miles down a dirt road to nothing there an old cave which actually is a lava tube, in this lava tube where bats and spiders. There are three little opening in the earths surface bove the lava tubes and what you see here is the sun shining...
Fossil Springs Wilderness Area is such a wonderous place. I happened to be there during a full moon.
Heading up the Apache Trail for the super moon, I set up my tripod just as the moon glow was rising above the one horse town of Tortilla Flat.

Prickly Pear Blooms
Loved the way the light shimmered off the lobes of the prickly pear cactus and it made the spines more menacing.
