Sandstone formation on the ceiling of Antelope Canyon. The light beam is coming in through the right and the shadows create variations of color.
The twist and turns aren't limited to the lower regions, they continue all along the walls and even 'out' of the canyon, this view was midway up, in an area of tight turns.

Shot this on a tour of the canyon in May 2010. Lots of people in the canyon on this day, kinda like shopping on black friday. We waited for the area to clear and our guide tossed some sand to catch the light coming through. I shot this on a tripod...

A quick visit to Great Sand Dunes National Park was amazing! The dunes are huge and totally unexpected in southern Colorado! Even more unexpected was to find people walking over the dunes!

This is at the Grand Canyon. I sat here looking at the canyon for over an hour before I noticed this tree right beside me. Who else has missed the beauty of this tree?
