Mountain reflected in Two medicine lake
I found this butterfly at a rest stop along interstate 20
On the last morning of my trip, I was happy to see the sunrise accentuating the lenticular clouds on Mount Rainier
Glen Canyon National Recreation Area. A spiritual and awe-inspiring place.
Initially disappointed with our finding the Canyon socked in from a early winter storm, we stayed with it looking for moments of clearing. We were able to come away with some pretty good storm shots, which included this one.
Captured the dunes at sunrise.
Walking along Lake Michigan Shore in late August
Walking through Gordon Park in Sand Lake MI I came across a bunch of Indian Pipes in a very wooded area of the park.

I love living in Texas where you get to see this nearly every evening
This photo was taken at the end of the day when our family have enjoyed a day at the beach in late fall in the state of Washington at Deception Pass State Park.
Taken at 1/45 sec at f8 with natural light. ISO 400
This ledge caught my eye one morning after a snow storm. The morning light on the snow and the still dark canyon in the background complimented each other well. There was a sense of peace and quiet.
Late in the afternoon most of the snow has melted, but there was just enough of a dusting in the afternoon light to add a something extra to Cathedral Rock.
Planning ahead to arrive at the Grand Canyon before the snow storm hit, I scouted this location for sunrise. The next day snow was still left on the near canyon walls at Mather Point to make a perfect contrast to the deeper reds of the inner canyon.
This powerful summer storm rolled into the Salt Lake Valley. I grabbed my camera and drove to a look out spot and started firing away... I got a few great shots and then mother nature in her kind way told me to get back in my car...I'm lucky I...
Rock formations made from moving glaciers left an imprint upon southwestern NYS. This photo taken in Rock City Park shows a patch of moss, leaves, rocks, and lichens taken through a narrow passageway through the rocks.
This picture was taken upwards into the rays of the morning sun to capture the early morning light and frost crystals in the air.
Stormy sunset over Capitol Peak, Capitol Creek Road, Colorado
During the daylight this was an ordinary greyish rock just off our campsite. But in the golden rays of sunset it became this interesting and unusual subject alive with color, texture and detail.
This is the view from Shovel Point on a cold but bright winter morning. The waves were pounding the rugged Lake Superior shoreline as they have for thousands of years.
This beautiful morning yielded a colorful sunrise above a very calm lake with the morning fog drifting slowly away. The color of the sunrise, the clouds, the trees and even the fog are reflected almost perfectly on the lake's surface.

The spray from Hidden Falls freezing on a branch created this interesting ice formation on a rock ledge near the base of the falls. The colored lines in the background are the fine mist from the falls catching the rays of the autumn sun.
