I spent the Winter in the Sonoran Desert and was able to wander the desert every day. The sunset were usually beautiful and the trick was to find an iconic Saguaro for its shape as a silhouette.
This is a local road that is also a boat launch.It is called Jake's Landing Rd.I made the image using 3 images in photoshop photo merge.
I spent most of the Winter in the Sonoran desert outside of Tucson and was able to wander the desert every day. The sunsets were typically spectacular and this was no exception. Finding the right Saguaros is the trick.

I was walking back from a sunrise photo adventure and hike when I spotted this scene coming together. It was unplanned, but I knew something had to be done.

Shortly after a storm last summer I saw these weird clouds outside. I probably wouldn't have even looked outside if it weren't for the sun setting through the clouds. It caused the sky to turn a bright yellowish orange. I had to grab my camera...
A quick stop at an overlook was rewarded with a light show.
