The bridge that reaches from Portsmouth Ohio into Kentucky reminds me of harps with strings that are plucked by the angels as they float by on the clouds in the sea of blue sky.

Wharariki Beach, New Zealand is quite possibly the most beautiful beach I've ever seen. With its towering sandstone arches, endless stretches of glassy sand, and frolicsome seal pups, it's quite unlike any other place I've been. The wonder of the...
A storm had just shown it's fury and the wind blew the clouds in as the sun was about to set. Provided an amazing variation of the colors in the sky.
We were on the last leg of a 20 mile kayak trip on the Brazos River. The wind had been blowing steady all day until this late sunset. The waster was just like glass which made paddling much easier. This is about mile 18 for the day.
As I woke early on a camping morning, this scene caught my eye. I ran for my camera and got this just before he started his engine.
I love the composition of this shot from the layering of the sun's interior light to the light sparkling off the water to the way the clouds frame the sun at the top.
The sail had just been unfurled and I looked up from the deck and the sun was fulling blocked by the sail but the light was shining all around the dies and streaming out and through it....lovely.

Early morning looked out the window and saw this.
As I walked out onto the White street pier this lamp post caught my eye. I was on a mission to get photos of the awesome sunrise when before me was this.
One of many glorious Sunsets in my backyard.

The Laikipia plains of Kenya stretch from the Great Rift Valley to the Northern Rangeland, forming part of the Ewaso ecosystem. The plains are as scenically spectacular as they are biologically diverse. A growing tourism sector provides incentive for...
Tetapare in the Solomon Islands is the largest uninhabited tropical island in the Southern Hemisphere. In the absence of people, wildlife thrives, and black-tipped reef sharks congregate close to the shore.
Photographing this barn became a obsession for me. Thanks to my persistence the kind lord blessed me with a unbelievable sky.
This was taken mid-morning following a late winter overnight snowfall. The sunrise was cloud covered but about two hours later the clouds broke open and provided great sidelighting for the mist and fog.

It was a beautiful sunrise on Cumberland Island and I just hoped in the water with my camera and tripod, shot a a very low level and waited for God to do the rest. I took several shots a different shutter speeds to get just the right water trail.
I took this sunrise while shrimping with my husband on our shrimp boat.
Henry Coe is one of the largest state parks in CA, but is drastically under appreciated. After a beautiful hike through rolling hills to a tranquil swimming pool, I arrived back at the car just as the sun was setting. The brilliant light created a...
