The Subway is a slot canyon in Zion National Park. It requires a permit to hike in the canyon. The Subway itself is a 3.6 mile hike up the canyon to the slot canyon named after it's 'subway tube' shape.

An early spring snow storm just cleared as I approached the Bristlecone Pines in the White Mountains of California. The storm had dusted the pines and the ground with snow, and provided a dramatic sky as a backdrop.
