The lighting on the beaches of Florida in the fall is so beautiful. Oil spills could possibly damage these beaches. Florida law prohibits breaking off these sea oats as these grassy plants hold the sea dunes in place.

I was on a wildlife tour our of Seward on Resurrection Bay when this sailboat came by heading to sea.
There had been heavy cloud cover from an overnight rain. But there was a slight break on the horizon which salvaged the sunrise. The large stones, which provided great foreground, were smooth with interesting color patches on them.
There had been fires on the western side of Glacier National Park, and the skies at sunset reflected more orange and red. I was on the Eastern side of the divide, and was lucky to get some interesting shots.
