These ravens soaring above the Grand Canyon epitomize freedom to me
"Synchronicity is an ever-present reality for those who have eyes to see it." (-Carl Jung) Sometimes it seems there is so much chaos in the world that it can be difficult to find any order. While prepping for a sunset shoot, 3 beautiful geese began...
This image was made from the Zapata Ranch looking over the bison herd with the Great Sand Dunes National Park in the background. This is now a vast preserve made up of National Park, State Park, Nature Conservancy Preserve (previously Medano, Zapata,...
One of my favorite parts of visiting wild horse ranges in the summer is seeing foals. In the Pryors, each foal is given a name that corresponds to a letter, in this case Q, to help people remember the year the foal was born. Quaid is the son of Greta,...
Despite being named after one of the presidents that had a huge impact on developing conservation, Teddy Roosevelt National Park does not get as many visitors compared to national parks. Most people visit the South Dakota badlands, but I like the park...
Early in the morning on our tour of the Lamar Valley we found this red fox resting on a rock after his morning hunt. Hand held I took the shot with an ISO of 1600, F/6.3, and a 1/200th second exposure.

Mother Duck and her ducklings strolled in my backyard from a small creek that runs through open space behind us. These aren't the usual babies, these are more like tweens but they stuck to mom like glue. It was a sweet scene.

Baby Sparrows during feeding time
Baby crabs are amazing to watch scampering all over the beach. It is tough to get a good photo of them as they move so fast. You just have to keep shooting hoping to capture the right moment.
A nice closeup of the beautiful bird. This animal is very friendly and like to give you attention if you remain still.
Photographed while working on the cactus flowers on my roof deck. While photographing these beautiful flowers noticed the bees visiting them so switch to trying to catch them by increasing my shutter speed to stop the bees movement while still trying...
