Panasonic recently announced the introduction of LUMIX Digital Photo Academy, a series of workshop for all digital camera owners who want to maximize their cameras’ features and create more rewarding and enjoyable photo experiences. Digital Photo Academy is launching in 20 cities this month, including Los Angeles.
Specifically in Los Angeles, all workshops will be held at Farmani Gallery. Each Digital Photo Academy course in Los Angeles will be lead by Chuck Place and George Simian, two highly regarded professional photographers in your community who will be available for ongoing digital camera advice and tips, even after the course has ended.
The June 2007 dates in Los Angeles include:
June 7, 2007 at 6:00pm – 9:00pm for Beginners
June 8, 2007 at 6:00pm – 10:00pm for Intermediate
June 16, 2007 at 10:00am – 7:00pm for Advanced

About the Instructors
Place has crafted an outstanding career as a landscape, sailing, travel and environmental portrait photographer. He also has compiled an elite client list that includes TIME, National Geographic, Smithsonian Books, IBM, Timberland Clothes and Tamron Lenses. His work has earned recognition from the New York Art Directors Club, the Western Art Directors Club and Art Direction Magazine. Place now teaches full-time at the prestigious Brooks Institute of Photography.
George Simian began his career by making documentary environmental portraits, while teaching photography at Cornell University. Simian’s national client roster now has expanded to include: AT&T, Capital One, Computer Associates, Fidelity Investments, Fleet Financial, Georgia-Pacific, John Hancock, Johnson & Johnson, Olsten, Polaroid, Staples, Procter & Gamble, Textron, Warner Music Group, and Xerox.
