Q: How many photos can I enter?
A: For this contest, we allow up to 3 photos maximum per person. Submitting more than three will disqualify you from the contest.


Q: I submitted three photos. Why did only one of them or none of them make it into the gallery?
A: Each person’s photos are subject to approval. Once you submit photos, one of our editors approves or disapproves each photo for the online gallery. Additionally, title your photos with alphanumeric characters only. Please do not use apostrophes, ampersands or any other character symbol, as doing so may cause errors during uploading.


Q: How do I vote during the People's Choice Award Voting Period?
Step 1: Log in to your OP account or, if you don't yet have an account, register.
Step 2: Check out the Finalists Gallery to see which images are eligible for your vote.
Step 3: Vote! Simply click on any photo and rate it using the 5-star scale. Vote for as many photos as you’d like!

Q: When can I vote for the People's Choice Awards?
A: The voting period for the People’s Choice Awards is May 15, 2009, through June 22, 2009. By entering the contest, you automatically will receive a reminder notice for the People’s Choice Awards via e-mail.  


Q: When will the winners be notified?
A: Sometime in June 2009.


Q: When will the winners be announced?
A: The Grand Prize winner’s photo will be published in the October 2009 issue of Outdoor Photographer. The First Place and People’s Choice Awards winners will be announced online sometime in September 2009.


Q: What are the prizes? A: Grand Prize: $1,000 cash, a Tamrac 3385 Speed Pack, a Duggal 16 x 24 print of the winning photoand oneGitzo GT2541 Carbon Fiber tripod and GH2780QR head
First Place Prize: A Tamrac 5768 Pro Photo Sling Pack and a Duggal printed 16 x 24 print of the winning photo and a Manfrotto 055CXPRO3 and 486RC2 head.
People’s Choice Prize: Online publication of the winning photo in the Winners Gallery and one Manfrotto 190XB Aluminum tripod and 804RC2 head.

Q: When I try to enter online, I get an error message. What's going on?
A: Often, if your first attempt at entering online isn’t successful, our system won’t let you enter again—it’s a way to prevent duplicate submissions. Try clearing your browser’s cache and cookies—even restarting your computer—and go to the online entry page again.


Q: I've tried clearing my cache and cookies, and I even bought a new computer. The online entry form just isn't working for me.
