Photo Details

  • Title: Autumn In Yosemite
  • State/Province/Region: California
  • Country: United States
  • Nearest Area: Yosemite
  • Nearest Town: Yosemite
  • Description: Any season is actually great to go to Yosemite. I don't know what I can write about Yosemite that everyone doesn't already know. I live a couple of hours away and try to get there a couple of times a year. One time of the year you should try to get there is in February when the sun hits Horseshoe Falls and creates the Natural Fire Falls. They used to actually create a man-made firefalls by dumping huge amounts of red hot coals over the falls way back in the early days. It has since been banded because they need to preserve Yosemite and the people were much to destructive during the Fire falls. However in February you can still enjoy the natural fire falls.
  • Brief Directions: View of Half Dome from the Valley
