St. Peter Cliffs
- Title: St. Peter Cliffs
- Country: Croatia
- Nearest Town: Makarska
- Brief Directions: When you come to the city of Makarska park your car somewhere in the city and go on the right peninsula on foot (left peninsula is Osejava). Go all the way to it's end and you'll find the lighthouse.
- Best Season: Winter
- Description: Man made objects are truly annoying when you are shooting landscapes. I tend to avoid them whenever I can to get the photo right. But this one here, St. Peter lighthouse, co-existancing with the rocky shore really draws the eye deeper into the image, toward the island of Brač covered in sunset colors.
Sv. Petar (Sveti Petar, St. Peter) is a small peninsula at the port entrance of Makarska, Croatia. It is named after a 13th-century chunch of St. Peter. Today the peninsula serves as a city park and beach. The rocky beach has both textile and naturist sections. Nearby the beach is the Sv. Petar lighthouse, built in 1884.
- Gear: DSLR camera, 10-20mm Sigma lens, 0.6 hard grad, sturdy tripod and a cable release. Wind and waterproof jacket was essential for keeping myself warm as the strong wind was blowing.
