• Description: Avalanche control artillery piece at Alta Ski Resort pointing across canyon to Mt Superior, Little Cottonwood Canyon, UT. I can't help but hear AC/DC's classic "For Those About to Rock" whenever I look at this shot. I have some friends on the Alta Ski Patrol and I have a request from the person who mans this gun for a print. The government is about to take these Howitzers away from the resort due to lack of ammunition for the World War II era weapon... not to mention you could easily lob a shell into downtown SLC.
