Description

This Great Gray was resting on a day when it was minus below zero temperatures. Her fluffed up feathers make her look fat, but in reality she probably weighs less than 4 pounds. In the winter the Gray Owls often migrate south into Minnesota to seek food in the form of bog lemmings that thrive in the Sax-Zim Bog area of Minnesota.
