Dead Horse Point State Park, UT, near Moab, UT
One day on one of our photo workshops, (Moab Photo Tours), we had an early season light snowfall on the mesa tops. Because it was only early November, it wasn't that cold yet. The sandstone was warm enough to melt the snow, but the air temperature was cold enough to keep the snow from melting on the trees. The contrast between the snow on the trees and the bare sandstone gave an interesting effect.
