Photo Details

  • Title: No Name
  • State/Province/Region: Idaho
  • Country: United States
  • Nearest Area: Payette National Forest
  • Nearest Town: McCall
  • Description: No Name Lake, Payette National Forest - Idaho. 5 Minute Exposure. White Balance. Crop. Tone Curve. Saturation.
  • Brief Directions: Take to the Brundage Mountain road from Highway 55 in McCall, Idaho. Keep left while headed north and park when you hit the narrow switchbacks. Hike N/E for about 2 miles up the steep grade. Very trecherous at night, would not recommend hiking back after sunset, camp if you can. Mostly cross country hiking.
  • Notes: A short backpacking trip takes you to No Name lake and Slab Butte. Really very interesting area, great for climbing, hicking, and photography. Lots of lush wildflowers, a small lake, and a very large granite butte. This wasn't the shot I was going for, but I am very glad I got it after all the other attempts at long exposures I had just enough battery to get the exposure.
  • Best Season: Spring
  • Gear: Nikon D40X. Nikon 18-55mm.
