Rio Samba Roses

  • Title: Rio Samba Roses
  • State/Province/Region: Washington
  • Country: United States
  • Nearest Town: Yakima
  • Best Season: Summer
  • Description: My sister and brother-in-law grow a variety of roses in the yard of their Yakima home. Rio Samba roses are an interesting variety, in that they change color as they mature, leaving people to think they are 3 different varieties: when they are young and blooming, the colors are a brilliant yellow & orange. As they reach maturity - like in this photo - the colors are bright peach and/or salmon-pink. Upon reaching old-age, they have turned a pastel pink with dobs and slashes of ivory.
