  • Brief Directions: Take the Mt. Evans summit road.
  • Best Season: Spring
  • Description: While climbing near the top of Mt. Evans (14,264 feet) in Colorado this spring after most of the snow had melted, we saw this mountain goat. On the perilous lip of a precipice it appeared relaxed as it enjoyed a view of the valley floor several hundred feet directly below. I on the other hand was not nearly as relaxed while inching out close to get this shot.
