Description: Grand Canyon National Park has been on my list of photography locations in the winter during or after a fresh snow fall. In March I drove from colorado, just as a big snow storm hit. The evening I arrived it snowed heavily, and I crossed my fingers for a great sunrise. A little before sunrise overlooking the canyon, the cloud cover did not look too promising. After about thirty minutes I got my lucky break, and the sunlight broke through. It lit the canyon beautifully for about six minutes, until the clouds blocked out the sun agin.
