  • Description: While sea turtles spend most of their lives in the ocean, their most critical life events occur on land. As the dawn erupted into colors under a sliver moon, this female Green Sea Turtle (federally endangered) carefully laid and covered her nest of precious eggs (she's in the big hole sweeping scoops of sand back over her nest). In two months the hatchings will make a dash for the ocean in hopes of surviving 50 years or more...
