Taken on Highway 70 NE of Roswell, New Mexcio. The night was very still with storms rumbling off to the southeast. Pulling off the highway, the flat landscape provided a great opportunity to get some lightning shots. On a hunch, I attached my ultrawide angle lens and started shooting the storm attempting to encompass the stars as well. Although the storm was large, it was contained by clear skies all around it. During one of the time lapsed shots, a shooting star appeared for a brief moment. This is that moment captured in time.
