Description

This picture was taken at the halfway point on the Navajo Loop Trail in Bryce Canyon National Park. This is a moderate hike, that although it is relatively short at 1.3 miles, does have you climbing up and down some serious hills as you both enter the canyon and come back up the other side. When you start you are in a unforgiving world of yellow and orange stone, but when you hit the bottom it opens up into a valley that is full of grass and trees only to come back up the other side into stone again. It is amazing to see life growing and thriving in that environment.
