Brief Directions

From Rt 3 in Saranac Lake Village, turn right onto Pine St. Go 0.1 Miles and turn left (east) onto Forest Hill Ave, which goes around Moody Pond. Look for the pull-out and trailhead marker in 0.6 miles. Hike 1.6 miles to the summit.

Notes

I found this tree in the return trip from the summit of Mount Baker. Mount Baker wasn't very photogenic, but the outcropping near the summit offered a good view of the High Peaks region of the Adirondack Mountains.

Description

A lone tree hangs onto the side of a small cliff near the summit of Mount Baker near Saranac Lake in New York's Adirondack Mountains
