Description: On the summit of Mauna Kea vocano at 13,900 feet elevation, visitors are mesmerized by the setting sun. This volcano is the largest on earth as it is 18,000 feet to the bottom of the Pacific. We were lucky to arrive on a calm day as winds at the summit can reach more than 60 MPH and snow can cover the mountaintop in the winter.
