I MADE THIS USING THE SKILLS I LEARN WHILE I WAS STATIONED IN THE NAVY IN ICELAND. I HAD TO TEACH MYSELF HOW TO PHOTOGRAPH THE NORTHERN LIGHTS BUY TRYING SEVERAL DIFFERENT METHODS. AFTER DOZENS OF COLD NIGHTS AND MANY ROLLS A FILM LATER, I MASTERED THE TECHNIC TO PHOTOGRAPH THEM. I HAVE HUNDREDS OF GREAT IMAGES NOW IN MY COLLECTION.

Notes

THIS WAS DONE WITH A 35MM MINOLTA 9XI, CABLE RELEASE, SLIK TRIPOD, TAMRON 28-80 F2.8 LENS, AND FUJI 200 ASA FILM. WAS JUST UNDER 45 SECONDS. A FEW OTHER TRICKS REQUIRED TO MAKE IT LOOK NICE WILL BE EXPLAINED IF ASK.

Description

NORTHERN LIGHTS PHOTOGRAPHED JUST AFTER SUNSET IN KEFLAVIC ICELAND. THE MOON WAS OUT THAT NIGHT TOO.
