Trail head at end of Glen Rd, just outside of Manchester, VT. Falls is approx 2 miles into the wilderness area via the Lye Brook Trail.
This area is remote, and it is dangerous based on the height of the falls, and the fact the rocks are always wet. Be extremely careful here when photographing, especially alone. If you shoot here though and do it safely, the rewards are great.
Lye Brook Falls is located two miles into the Lye Brook Wilderness in Green Mountain National Forest in southern Vermont. This was taken in early October of 2010, at sunrise, just as sunrise light was reflecting off the clouds across the valley facing the falls. This cast a wonderful warm light on the falls and rocks, that was further warmed and saturated by use of a polarizer.
