Photo Details

  • Title: Kingdom Of An Ice Princess
  • State/Province/Region: California
  • Country: United States
  • Nearest Town: Yosemite National Park
  • Description: The sun had set. I was getting my gear together to pack it in for the night and return home. The cold chilled me to the bone as the temperature dropped quickly. I had bent over to pack my gear and I glanced sideways toward the Merced River. The low angle and faint light caught my eye on the reflections as the Merced River began to slow to ice. I pulled out my camera, repositioned myself and found in the viewfinder the vision I had caught before. In that moment, I found myself warm with accomplishment. I found my shot.
  • Brief Directions: Yosemite National Park Valley View
  • Notes:
  • Best Season: Winter
  • Gear: D700, Nikkor 24-120mm, 40mm, f/4.2, 1/80
