Photo Details

  • Title: Striking Grace
  • State/Province/Region: Michigan
  • Country: United States
  • Nearest Town: Northport
  • Description: A large storm cloud begins to drift in quickly off in the distance. Lighting starts to flash throughout the sky. Below the large storm cloud, beautiful cloud cover lights up as the sun sets. I knew I had a once in a lifetime opportunity to photograph lightning over wonderful cloud cover during sunset. I composed so the large storm cloud above would not be in the photograph. I then waited for lighting to record on one of many shots I took of this scene, I was fortunate enough to see and capture such a strange event.
  • Best Season: Summer
  • Gear: Canon 7D, Canon 24-105 L, 3-stop ND, 6-stop ND, 2-stop reverse GND
