Photo Details
- Title: Natural Resources
- State/Province/Region: North Carolina
- Country: United States
- Nearest Area: Dupont State Park, NC
- Nearest Town: Brevard, NC
- Description: The famous Dupont Falls draws many who are willing to take the hike down a windy slope. It is surrounded by huge boulders where you can have a backpack lunch, or walk down to the lower part of the falls where you can go swimming. This is a breathtakingly beautiful waterfall. Which was at it's peak two years ago when we received record snow/rainfall. The massive force of the water rushing down the edge of to the bottom is well worth the hike.
- Brief Directions: Take I-26. Exit for Brevard, NC.
- Notes: Worth the long hike heading towards the Dupont Falls from the beginning of your trip. With a spectacular view of the Dupont Falls above ground level from the distance thus inviting one to investigate a closer look.
- Best Season: Summer
- Gear: Nikon Cool Pix P7000
