Notes

Antarctica holds 70% of the world's ice. The Antarctic Peninsula is the most accessible location on the continent and is visited by nearly 40,000 tourists, mostly on expedition ships, each year. The season is short, from November till February.

Description

Icebergs in the Weddell Sea move north on the currents from the ice shelfs along the coast of Antarctica, where huge icebergs break off the ice shelf and begin their movement north. They eventually break apart, but are still huge in size for many years. As they melt and break apart, they will melt into unique shapes. They will turn over when they become unbalanced, exposing parts that have been under water .
