• Brief Directions: Take the Glenn Highway from Anchorage north to Eagle River. Take the Highland Rd. Exit and come to the 3rd light and take a right at Eagle River Rd. Drive to the end of the road about 10 miles to the Nature Center. It's about a 1/4 mile hike to the beaver ponds.

• Description: This is in Eagle River Valley just north of Anchorage at the Eagle River Nature Center at the Beaver Ponds. It was taken as the snow was beginning for winter.
