  • Description: I had a great time exploring the slots in Palm Wash (in the Calcite Canyon area) and as I emerged in the late afternoon, I noticed the clouds were lining up for a possible spectacular sunset. After scrambling out of the canyons, I climbed this unnamed mountain to the east of Travelers Peak and captured this scene.
  • Gear: Nikon D800, 16-35mm Nikkor lens, B+W Polarizer, tripod, F/22, 1/2 sec, 100 ISO @ 16mm.
