• Description: Salmon Creek is a small tributary to the Kern River which is a "wild and Scenic" river. The river and the creek flow through the grand and impressive Kern Canyon. Salmon Creek falls is a 70 foot fall surrounded by beautiful limestone walls. Late summer through early winter is the best time to visit as the spring runoff makes the creek too large and dangerous.
