- Brief Directions: Join A382 from either A38 or the A30 and drive into Moretonhampstead. Take the B3312 from Moretonhampstead and continue until up on to the high more. Continue until you reach the 'Warren House Inn' just before this pub is a car park next to Bennett's cross. Park here and then walk south and follow footpath/track up on to tor.

- Description: After being pelted with hail blown in by the freezing gales on the climb up to Birch tor, I was rewarded with some of the best light I have seen in a long time. This light only lasted for a few minutes before the sun set on the horizon.
