- Description: This was taken in the Windows section of Arches National Park. A summer thunderstorm was generating frequent lighting bolts in a fairly consistent area. I set my camera on bulb and used a technique I use for photographing fireworks. I waited for the first bolt then carefully blocked the lens with the lens cap. I had to guess when to pull the cap away and was pretty successful with catching a bolt each time I removed the cap. I was able to not over exposure the image by using this technique. It was fun and I was pleased with the result.
